Gail Courtney Jackson was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. Jackson has settled in the Columbia City neighborhood of the Rainier Valley, citing the diversity, public transportation, and close-knit community as its greatest assets. She often can be found in one of the village's wonderful eating and drinking establishments or perusing the weekly farmers market.
Continuous improvement is a core value for Jackson. She attended college at Seattle Central Community College and finished her BA at the University of Washington. She graduated with honors from the Web Technology AAS program at SSCC, continually working to be up to date with the most current technology.
She has two nearly grown children. Her daughter is a highly regarded Nanny working in the Seattle area. Her son is working towards his Abled Bodied Seaman papers.
Jackson’s grandparents moved to Seattle in the early 1900’s, married in 1912, lived in McKenna, Ballard and Kirkland before finally settling on Phantom Lake in 1926. Her parents met and married in Seattle in 1952 and have been living in the Mt. Baker neighborhood since 1961.
Jackson enjoys forays to the coast and the mountains. She is an avid knitter and gardener and keeps cats for their warm and relaxing presence.
